Frequently Asked Questions
Here's the process: we inspect your roof for free, document any storm damage with photos, and help you file the claim. Your insurance company sends an adjuster. We meet them on-site and walk the roof together. If approved, we do the work at the agreed price. If the estimate seems low, we supplement it with additional documentation.
Most residential roof replacements in Charleston cost between $8,500 and $24,000. The price depends on your roof size (measured in squares, where 1 square = 100 sq ft), pitch, accessibility, and material choice. Architectural shingles are $350-$550 per square installed. We give free estimates with exact pricing.
There's no single "best" shingle. It depends on what you need. For warranty coverage, GAF Timberline HDZ with Golden Pledge is the best in the industry. For wind resistance, Owens Corning Duration with SureNail locks down tight. For value, CertainTeed Landmark or IKO Cambridge give you solid performance at a lower price point. We carry all of them.
Most residential roofs in Charleston are done in one day. We show up at 7 AM, tear off the old roof, install the new system, and clean up by end of day. Two-story homes, steep pitches, or large roofs might take two days. We never leave a house uncovered overnight.
The shingles carry the manufacturer's warranty. Typically 30-50 years for architectural shingles. Our installation warranty covers any defects in our workmanship. If something goes wrong because of how we installed it, we fix it at no cost. Both warranties are in writing and we provide them at the final walkthrough.
